Oh we kicked it up a notch and now it's totally okay to have stepdad!joel smut. that's... something.

look, this is just a ramble for myself basically but I have personally spoken with people in the past who feel the same as I do regarding this topic: this is hella weird. again I reiterate, to each their own and do your thing. but I do maintain my original opinion, which is to say that writing all of this absolutely dark and BARELY LEGAL stuff about joel's character (whether show or game - though let's be honest, this is about show joel) is just insane. absolutely insane.

I am all for exploring different variations of characters and expanding horizons, hell yes! but why are we making joel, a nearly 60 year old man, fuck prostitutes and girls who are barely of age? why are we making this man be into anything other than enthusiastic consent and calling you "babygirl"? I'm not all for that "you gotta write this character exactly like I see him on the screen", but this is just batshit crazy to me.

seeing there's a confessions blog in the pedro fandom and then finding out the author religiously reads dbf!joel... yeah, that checks out
